Basic B.Sc. Nursing

8 Semesters (4 years)

Examination Board:

Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik

Eligibility: 10+2 (Science) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. 12th Science Pass - Open Quota 45% above (PCB), Management Quota 45% above (PCB), Reservation Quota 40-45% (PCB).

Prepares professional registered nurses for hospitals, community health services, teaching roles and higher education in nursing.

Detailed Eligibility Criteria

Minimum age: 17 years on 31st December of admission year
Student shall be medically fit
12th Science with PCB - Open Quota: 45% above, Management Quota: 45% above, Reservation Quota: 40-45%
Student shall be admitted once in a year

Programme Outcomes

Ability to provide comprehensive nursing care in hospital and community settings
Competence in clinical decision-making and nursing procedures
Exposure to research, leadership and administration in nursing

General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM)

3 years
50 Seats

Examination Board:

Maharashtra State Board of Nursing and Paramedical Education, Mumbai

Eligibility: 10+2 with English (any stream). Science preferable. 40% marks required. Registered ANM with pass marks also eligible.

Diploma-level programme focusing on general nursing services and midwifery.

Detailed Eligibility Criteria

10+2 with English and 40% marks from any recognized board
Science stream is preferable
10+2 with English having 40% marks in vocational ANM course from INC recognized school
10+2 with English having 40% marks in Vocational Stream-Health care Science from recognized CBSE board
Registered ANM with pass marks
Minimum age: 17 years (as on 31st December). No maximum age limit
Students shall be medically fit

Reservation Policy

3% Disability reservation (40-50% locomotor disability of lower extremity)
5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates
Other quotas as per State Government reservation policy

Auxiliary Nurse & Midwife (ANM)

2 years
20 Seats

Examination Board:

Maharashtra State Board of Nursing and Paramedical Education, Mumbai

Eligibility: 10+2 in Arts or Science from recognized board. No maximum age limit.

Auxiliary nursing programme oriented towards primary health care and basic nursing services.

Minimum age: 17 years on or before 31st December of admission year
No maximum/upper age limit
10+2 in Arts or Science from recognized Board
Accepted Arts subjects include Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy
Science or Health care Science – Vocational stream accepted
Students qualified in 10+2 Arts or Science from National Institute of Open School eligible
Student shall be medically fit
